Guarded Souls

Shield your eyes 

Guard your soul 

The horrors of the world 

Aren’t ours’ to hold  

Information gained 

Is innocence lost

For what you learn 

Burdens a cost 

You can’t undo

The evil you sought 

From pieces of your soul

That knowledge is bought 

We can be aware 

Without detailed parts 

By wise discernment 

We protect our hearts

God will have justice

And by His might 

What’s done in the dark 

Will be brought to the light 

A reckoning is coming 

Judgment we all face 

The cursed among us 

Will be forever erased 

So pray for the innocents 

Wronged on this earth

Vengeance is God’s

And it will be served
